Garden of Sounds (Giardino dei suoni)
Imagine walking in a 12-hectare park of Maremma countryside accompanied by sounds that vary with the change in weather conditions and discovering that the sounds come from large sculptures made from natural materials such as iron, bronze, wood and stone. Sculpted by the hand of the artist, they blend in with the surrounding nature, appearing to the viewer as light and fragile wires. You are in the world of Paul Fuchs, a versatile Bavarian artist whose skill in sculpture goes hand in hand with musical composition. Having moved to the countryside near Boccheggiano, where he created this private artistic park, the artist always challenges the rules of physics with his creations, with increasingly narrow and slender structures, in an exhibition “in progress”, adding new works to create more and more emotions. Don’t miss the “music room”, where his instruments made of natural materials produce stirring sounds and noises. Visits to the park are by reservation only for groups of 10 people with a contribution to the costs of € 10 per person. The tours are guided by the artist himself and last about 2h30, with musical performances. To find out more, go to https://www.paulfuchs.com/giardino-dei-suoni/
